Management of the Gardens

The Trust aims to manage Darwin Gardens as a natural site, mowing the greens, clearing the path sides and trimming hedges so as to facilitate pedestrian access and enjoyment.

The Trust employs a specialist contractor for routine maintenance of the green spaces, plant life and trees. Ilkley Town Councillors and the Ilkley Town Warden regularly inspect the site for maintenance and development issues.

Local community group, Litter Free Ilkley, also regularly help to keep Darwin Gardens looking beautiful and devoid of rubbish.
